What factors affect the vertical injection molding machine work

Sep 10, 2019

Factor one: temperature

As far as the temperature of the vertical injection molding machine is concerned, if the temperature of the equipment is increased, the melt viscosity can be lowered, the fluidity of the melt can be improved, the power consumption of the machine can be reduced, and the screw rotation speed can be appropriately increased. However, if everything is too high, if the temperature of the machine is too high, the extruded parison will be prone to its own weight drooping, resulting in uneven longitudinal wall thickness of the parison. Thus, it is important to maintain an appropriate temperature.

Factor 2: Melt conveying speed

If the melt transfer speed of the vertical injection molding machine is enhanced, the self-weight drooping of the parison can be improved, and the wall thickness of the parison can be increased. However, if the speed is too fast, melt fracture will easily occur. Therefore, in operation, it is necessary to maintain the melt delivery speed of the machine within a stable value according to the operating instructions.

Above, we analyzed their influence from the two aspects of machine temperature and melt delivery speed. We can refer to the above information during operation to maintain these factors in a stable range.
